One either loves Star Trek, or completely despises everything about it. Thus, “trekkies” reign supreme at this Las Vegas Hilton main attraction. The $70 million “Star Trek: The Experience” offers a wide assortment of artifacts on display, including costumes, weaponry, makeup, special effects and props used in the television series and in the eight motion pictures. There is a timeline for encyclopedic fans, and the main draw – a Star Trek motion simulator ride, which is rather fun whether you like the show or not. But people, for heaven’s sake, it is just a show. Don’t go getting all dressed up in your Captain Kirk outfit or your Spock ears, such actions are very frightening to many of us. Perhaps that’s why you choose to do it, so you can be different? There are other ways to get attention, folks. Stop submersing yourself in a world of ridiculous fantasy; it is very unhealthy.
